Tom Cruise Gives Golden Globes The Ultimate Diss As NBC Cancels Awards Show | NewsBurrow

Long time Hollywood golden boy Tom Cruise is a little less golden now.

The “Objective Difficult” actor returned his 3 Golden Globes to protest the awards reveal’s organizer, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, according to reports on Monday.

Home Entertainment Tonight and Deadline were among the outlets to verify that the “Leading Weapon” star returned the hardware amidst installing pressure on the HFPA as it challenges its sensational lack of variety. A report revealing that none of the organization’s 87 members were Black led NBC on Monday to cancel its planned 2022 broadcast of the show.

The HFPA assured reform, but that obviously wasn’t enough for Cruise, whose publicist didn’t instantly respond to EntertainmentBurrow’s request for remark.

The star supposedly sent back his acting Golden Globes for “Born Upon the Fourth of July,” “Jerry Maguire” and “Magnolia.” He was nominated for Oscars for all 3 motion pictures, but didn’t win.

Now he has more room on the mantel.
