The heated “fight” in between Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel raves on. Even on a red carpet, it’s difficult for the set to keep things civil.
Damon strolled the carpet at the best of his brand-new movie Air, at the Regency Town Theatre in West Hollywood on Monday, and talked with ET’s Kevin Frazier about his enduring (apparently) bitter competition with the late night talk program host.
When asked if he ‘d ever be intriguing in burying the hatchet and simply proceeding, Damon exclaimed, “No, no, he’s an a hole. Why would I ever do that?”
” He’s a horrible human,” Damon worried. ” He’s an awful person. He’s a demonstrably bad guy.”
Kimmel– who has actually long maintained the amusing pretense of seething contempt with his long time pal– strolled the carpet behind him, and Damon seized the day to take a jab at the host.
” Hey! I ‘d enjoy to take a photo with you however we lacked time!” Damon shouted to Kimmel– buffooning the long-going gag on Jimmy Kimmel Live, in which Kimmel says sorry to Damon at the end of every episode for going out to time and not having the ability to have him on.
When Kimmel got up to ET, he just stated, “You understand, I do not understand who that was, however yeah, I heard him. He was loud.”
According to Kimmel, Damon certainly “was the drug bear” at this year’s Oscars– as in, the male inside the notorious bear outfit– regardless of Damon’s strong rejection of this claim.
” Did he state he wasn’t the bear?” asked Kimmel. “He was the bear.”
” And absolutely filled with drug,” Kimmel joked.
When asked if they may ever fix up on his program– or perhaps have an episode completely dedicated to Damon– Kimmel shot the concept down, sharing, “I simply can’t picture it taking place. I truly can’t. I believe we have Ben [Affleck] on tomorrow, so we’ll have that, however that will be as close as we get.”
